502 Bad Gatewayの様子

502 Bad Gateway(502 ばっとげーとうぇい)とは、Webサイトを閲覧する際に希に発生するエラーの一つ。

概要[編集]

通常、Webページを閲覧する際は無線LANなどを介してインターネットに接続し、閲覧したいページのサーバーにページ情報をリクエストするが、この時点でサーバー側に何らかのエラーが生じてしまうと、一時的にページの内容が表示できない状態となる。この状態が502 Bad Gatewayである。

このエラーの厄介な点が、クライアント側のエラーではなくサーバー側の問題であること。そのため、ユーザー側で解決することはほぼ100％出来ない。

なお画面下記に記載されている「nginx」はサーバーのソフトウェアの名前である。

恐らくだが、Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.に次ぐ発生頻度を誇る^[1]。大抵の場合は2つセットになって発生する場合が多い。まあ大体2~3分ほどで復旧するため、ツイストクランチでもしながら気長に待つのが得策である。
