まこと (小惑星)

小惑星(6093)まこと[1](Makoto)は、直径約6kmのメインベルト小惑星で、周期3.90年で太陽の周りを公転している。1990年8月30日に北海道の円舘金,渡辺和郎によって発見され、日本の天文学者 吉川真(1962.2.6-)にちなんで命名された。[2]

Named in honor of Makoto Yoshikawa (b. 1962), senior researcher in the Communications Research Laboratory in Japan. Known for his active research in celestial mechanics, he works on the orbital analysis of minor planets, comets, meteors, artificial satellites and space debris. He is perhaps best known for his long-term orbital analyses of minor planets in mean-motion and secular resonances.[3]
